What is the difference between RecDesk Credit Card and Internal Credit Card?

Follow

  Overview

RecDesk allows you two methods of taking a credit card payment. One is integrated with the system, and one is instead the ability to record a credit card sale without running the card through an integrated process.

RecDesk Credit Card:

This is the payment method that will allow for integrated credit card processing against your merchant account. This is the most commonly used method for credit card payments. See RecDesk Payment Processing Options

Internal Credit Card:

This method is for recording credit card payments that are performed using legacy methods using older equipment or card swiping for something such as Square if you're taking mobile payments for certain things. Internal Credit Card payments are not processed through RecDesk, but specifying this payment method allows you to record and track these transactions in RecDesk. This is an optional setting within RecDesk, and can be turned off by reaching out to your Customer Success Manager.
