In order to allow stored payment options, the CIM Module in Authorize.net needs to be enabled. The CIM Module may not automatically be enabled on your Authorize.net account. If you try to store a payment option and receive the message Customer Information Manager is not enabled, you will need to activate CIM on your Authorize.net account.
Before You Start
Ensure that you have an active Authorize.net account
Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net.
Activating Authorize.net's CIM Module:
- Click Customer Information Manager in the main left side menu.
- Click Sign up for Customer Information Manager (CIM) Now
- Click the checkbox labeled I have read and understand the Terms of Service.
- Click I Agree.
