Overview
In this article, you will learn how our integrated payment processor, RecDesk Payments, works. RecDesk has its own RecDesk Payments Portal to assist with reconciliations.
Before You Start
You must have a RecDesk Software subscription to enroll in RecDesk Payments.
About RecDesk Payments
RecDesk Payments is our fully integrated payment processing solution that makes it easy to accept payments in person and online! See here for all the features of RecDesk Payments.
Why Use RecDesk Payments?
We recommend RecDesk payments because it is our fully integrated, most robust payment processor that is fully PCI-compliant and is supported by internal RecDesk staff, who are knowledgeable on both RecDesk software and RecDesk Payments. Therefore, one support call can help you solve your financial/reconciliation issues. RecDesk Payments also supports Card-present EMV readers.
How Does RecDesk Payments Work?
- Sign up for RecDesk Payments; see here.
- You will be sent paperwork to complete; see tips for filling out the paperwork in Tips; see below.
- Once your accounts are integrated with RecDesk and payment activity has begun, both of your merchant accounts will receive:
- Daily deposits (Merchant Payouts) once approved (within 1-2 days). These deposits will include processing fees. See *** in Notes here.
- Monthly Fee Payout (withdrawal). An ACH debit will post on or about the 6th business day of the month for the total fees paid previously to the merchant account via daily deposits (Merchant Payouts).
- The main POC will also receive an emailed Merchant Statement with a summary and details of the fee payout. Here's an example of the top portion of a Merchant Statement:
EMV Readers (required for in-house payments)
In-person payments (card present) require the use of a RecDesk Payments EMV Device that must be purchased/leased at POS Portal.
Impact on Community Members
Community members will see this payment form to enter their card information:

Tips:
- In Section 2 of the Sub-Merchant Application and Agreement (SMAA), be sure to include your Annual Card Volume ($) and your maximum transaction amount on an invoice (Max. Ticket Credit Card ($)). The latter number will prevent payments on invoices greater than this amount.
- In Section 4 of the SMAA, add the following two entries:
- Organization Name - Community; Type of MID: Web; check the Service Fee box if passing on the fees to customer;
-
Organization Name - Director; Type of MID: Card Present; check the Service Fee box if passing on the fees to customers; see ** in Notes here.
