Overview
RecDesk Payments requires JavaScript to be enabled in your web browser to enter credit/debit card information. In this article, you will learn how to enable JavaScript in modern browsers.
How to Enable JavaScript in Modern Web Browsers
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome and click on the menu (three dots) on the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Click on Settings, then click on Privacy and security.
- Click on Site settings.
- Find the Content section, and click on JavaScript.
- Change the Default behavior to Sites can use JavaScript.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox and place your cursor in the address bar at the top.
- Type about:config and hit the enter key.
- Click Accept the Risk and Continue.
- In the Search preference name box, type JavaScript.
- Locate javascript.enabled (note that the value is false), and click on the toggle to switch it to true.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Edge and click on the menu (three dots) on the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Click on Settings, then click on Cookies and site permissions in the left sidebar.
- Locate the Site Permissions section, and click on JavaScript.
- Turn the Allowed (recommended) switch to the right to activate it.
Safari
- On macOS, open Safari and click Safari in the menu bar ar the top of the screen.
- Click on Preferences, then click on the Security tab.
- Ensure that the Enable JavaScript box is checked.
How to Enable JavaScript on Mobile Devices
This can be done directly through your browser's settings or your phone's system preferences.
On iPhone & iPad (Safari)
- Open your device's main Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Scroll to the very bottom and tap Advanced.
- Toggle the JavaScript switch to the ON (green) position.
On Android (Google Chrome)
- Open the Chrome app.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner to open the menu.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Site settings.
- Tap JavaScript and toggle the switch to the ON (blue) position.
